The OAXA-MicroLab Corp MC1 is a fully automatic and very easy to use friction bonding machine.
Friction bonding Friction bonding allows for a perfect seal between acetate plates. It is performed at an exclusive frequency, perfectly adapted to cellulose acetate, and is the result of an innovative research and development process. The weld is invisible even after a thorough polishing. The homogeneity of the material is preserved, no bubbles, no added product (acetone), no deterioration of the material. The quality of the parts produced is maximum and without any compromise.
Productivity The machine is fully automatic for unattended operation. Adjustable chip loader, adaptable to all dimensions. Adjustable "cleat" loader. Up to 3 cleats can be glued simultaneously. High production rate. A gluing cycle takes between 15 and 25 seconds, which allows the OAXA-MicroLab Corp MC1 to produce a respectable 180 pieces per hour.
Easy to use Very simple to learn No added product (acetone) No consumables No tooling required depending on the size or thickness of the chips Welded parts can be machined immediately after the bonding cycle. Only one tooling is required depending on the size and position of the cleats which is a customer standard. A tooling is delivered with the machine, it can be made by the customer himself if necessary.
Various characteristics ✔ 500 mm chip loader: ~80 chips thickness 6 Possibility to reload the loader while the machine is running
✔ Chip size: width 30 to 80 mm, length 100 to 200mm, thickness 3 to 10mm
✔ Three 500mm cleat loaders: ~125 cleats thickness 4 per loader. Possibility to reload the loaders while the machine is running.
✔ Cleat size: 15×15 to 50x30mm. Thickness: 3 to 16 mm
✔ Chip thickness + cleats after welding: up to 19mm
✔ Thickness loss after welding: <0.4mm (total thickness after welding equals chip thickness plus cleat thickness minus 0.4mm)
✔ Maximum welding area: the maximum weldable area without risk of bubble is about 50x50mm.
✔ Possibility to weld two cleats on top of each other
✔ Possibility to glue two plates of material on the edge: no
✔ No qualitative difference between two welded plates and a plate that would be of a single block
