Prototyping machine MP5

The MicroUnit Corp MP5 prototyping machine is a 5-axis machine that can perform all the operations required to manufacture an acetate eyewear frame: face, temple and the various tooling required for finishing.

The MicroUnit Corp MP5 is designed for demanding users who want to have a high-end tool to quickly produce prototypes, small series or custom-made eyewear without limiting their creativity thanks to the machine's 5-axis simultaneous capabilities. Designers, opticians who wish to start a collection, eyewear manufacturers who wish to have a tool dedicated to prototyping and tooling...

The machine is based on the mechanics of the MicroUnit Corp MF5 production machine from which we have removed the automatic feeding, turning and ejection of the finished bezel... and added a clamping device for machining the arms.

The machining table is also horizontal to facilitate manual operations. The operation is semi-automatic.

This is the same basis as the MF5 production machine designed to run 12 hours a day, making it a particularly high end and robust system for small series.

The MP5 programs are 100% compatible with the MicroUnit Corp MF5 production machine. This means that a model made on the MP5 can be put into production immediately on an MF5 production machine.

As the mechanical components are identical to those of the OAXA MF5 machine, please refer to the technical specifications of this machine for all machining.

Flexibility
The programming of the MP5 is simplified thanks to the Lona4 software at ''Process Aval''.

The machining operations as well as the expandable parts are generated automatically. Software options allow the automatic creation of centering pins as well as face bending tools and tools for hinge inlays. The change of model is very fast and facilitated by all the tooling necessary for its manufacture and finishing. This guarantees an improved "time to market".

The vice for clamping the temples makes it possible to produce the face of the frame as well as the temples using the same machine and the same software tools that are integrated.

Very high quality manufacturing
Excellent surface finish of the machining.
Thanks to the very innovative Lona4 software designed specifically for the eyewear industry, the user has unparalleled creative power to quickly and easily produce complex or even extremely complex machining operations.
