Temple machine MB1

The MB1 temple machine is an automatic machine that can perform all the operations involved in the manufacture of a spectacle temple: shooting the frame, cutting, engraving, grading, etc., where traditional methods require at least three workstations. At the end of the machine, the finished temple is ready for polishing.
The operation is automatic, without supervision, it is the only machine on the market offering these characteristics.

Accurate
The shooting accuracy is digitally adjusted with a resolution of + or - 0.05 mm for the position of the armature. The numerically controlled machining offers an accuracy of + or - 0.02 mm with a perfect surface finish.

Flexible
The programming of the MB1 is simplified by the Lona4 software. The right and left legs are generated very quickly from the drawing. The change of the branch model is immediate.

Automatic
The OAXA-MicroLab Corp MB1 is fully automatic: material feeding, shooting, frame feeding, machining, tool change... The machine is designed to work without supervision.

High quality technical features
Interpolated 3 axis cutting.
High quality "Brushless" motorization, fast feed up to 15 m/min
HF spindle with automatic tool change (4 tools), liquid cooling, frequency variator for an adjustable speed from 5 to 24000 rpm
Material feeder: approx. 10 strips of material. Each strip of material is up to 1400 mm long and its width is about 160 mm depending on the length of the branch. The feeder can be fed while the machine is running.
Shootage at the end of the strip, high frequency heating called "automatic controlled tuning". This innovation allows an unequalled precision of the shooting axis while offering a power consumption divided by 4.
Automatic feeding of the frames, charger of about 200 frames, the frames can be reloaded while the machine is in operation.
Change of model for the same type of framework: 1 minute
Change of the type of framework: two tools to be changed. Time required: 1 hour
Linear guides: Three pre-stressed ball bearings per linear axis. Static load capacity: 1350 dN per shoe, dynamic load capacity: 833 dN: these are very high quality machine tool components.
Precision ball screw with two preloaded ball nuts. Load capacity per ball nut: 700 dN
Machine size: 1200x1200x1800 - Weight: 900kg
Power supply: electric: 380 V three-phase. Dry air 7 bars

To manufacture high quality branches
Width up to 40 mm (20 mm maximum in relation to the axis of shooting)
Thickness of the branches: 2 to 8 mm
Maximum length : 175 mm
Manufacturing capacity : 20 to 80 pairs / hour
Precision of machining in repetitiveness : +-0.02 mm
Shooting depth (position of the wire in the thickness) : depends on the electrode used (changeable in about ½ hour). Typically: centered or ratio 2/3 - 1/3. The position of the hinge is adjustable from the initial position of the shootage. Accuracy in repeatability of the shooting depth : +/- 0.1 mm
Position of the shootage (position of the armature in the width): digitally adjusted. Accuracy in repeatability : + or - 0.05mm.
